Jews Harp shop, South East Asia
The Vietnamese traditional Jews Harp, Dan Moi, is a metallic development of the ancient bamboo Jews Harp. It is essentially a piece of brass, slotted to create a delicate tongue. It has a rich and harmonious sound and it is very easy to play. The Chinese Kou Xiang looks like a combination of 3-4 small Vietnamese Jews Harps of different notes in the shape of a fan. It is a very delicate instrument and is the only Jews harp that plays a melody embedded in overtones.
